IRSA Releases 216,000 Cusecs of Water from Various Rim Stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) released 216,000 cusecs of water from various rim stations on Sunday, with an inflow of 298,200 cusecs.

According to data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam stood at 1,463.00 feet, which is 65.00 feet above its dead level of 1,398 feet. The dam recorded an inflow of 135,400 cusecs and an outflow of 700,000 cusecs.

In the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam, the water level was 1,181.60 feet, 133.60 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow were recorded at 41,800 cusecs and 25,000 cusecs, respectively.

The release of water at various key locations was recorded as follows:

Kalabagh: 154,100 cusecs

Taunsa: 150,700 cusecs

Guddu: 120,300 cusecs

Sukkur: 70,100 cusecs

Additionally, from the Kabul River, 79,200 cusecs of water were released at Nowshera, and 11,200 cusecs were released from the Chenab River at Marala.

These figures highlight the ongoing management and distribution of water resources by IRSA to meet various needs across the region.
