IRSA Releases 221,300 Cusecs Water

ISLAMABAD: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Friday released 221,300 cusecs water from different rim stations with inflow of 188,700 cusecs.

According to the IRSA’s latest data, water level in River Indus at Tarbela Dam was recorded 1548.33 feet and was 150.33 feet higher than its dead level of 1,398 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam was as 116,700 cusecs and 120,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla Dam was recorded at 1232.15 feet, which was 182.15 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water was 10,700 cusecs and 40,000 cusecs respectively.

Water level in other reservoirs

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa , Guddu and Sukkur was registered as 95,200, 116,400, 89,900 and 39,700 cusecs respectively.

Likewise, from River Kabul, a total of 23,000 cusecs of water released at Nowshera and 8,500 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
