DAMASCUS: At least 11 people were killed in an attack in central Syria blamed on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), a Britain-based war monitor said on Sunday.
“ISIS attacked about 75 people on Saturday as they were collecting truffles in the Palmyra area, in the eastern countryside of Homs,” the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
10 of those killed were civilians
The assault killed “10 civilians, including a woman, as well as a member of the [Syrian] regime forces,” it said, adding that others remain missing. — AFP
