ISLAMABAD: Pakistan remains committed to facilitating complete regulated movement of goods and people across the Pak-Afghan border based on norms of interstate ties and we will continue to take steps to this end, Radio Pakistan reported on Saturday.
According to Radio Pakistan, this was stated by Pakistan’s Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, while responding to media queries about remarks of Deputy Interim Foreign Minister of Afghanistan.

The spokesperson said any self-serving and fanciful claims about the legality and sanctity of the Pak-Afghan border cannot change the facts of geography, history and international law.
The Spokesperson further said the “Afghan side will be well advised to address Islamabad’s genuine security concerns than try to divert attention of public by such unfortunate public pronouncements”.
