ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has expressed concerns over the unprecedented surge in pollen count observed in Islamabad. A high pollen count implies that individuals sensitive to pollen and molds are likely to experience symptoms, while a very high count suggests symptoms for almost everyone sensitive to these allergens. Recent data reveals a staggering pollen count of 4419 in the capital, causing discomfort to numerous residents, particularly allergy sufferers.

The highest pollen count was recorded in sectors H-8, G-6, I-8, and F-10, with Sector H-8 reaching a record-breaking 4309. Following closely behind, Sector G-6 reported 2700, and Sector I-8 noted 2659 pollen particles.

This notable escalation in pollen levels has prompted health advisories, urging citizens, especially those with allergies or respiratory conditions, to take necessary precautions. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and working diligently to address the issue, prioritizing the well-being of the public.
