Islamabad Strongly Condemns Raid by Israeli Troops in West Bank

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent raid by Israeli troops in the West Bank resulting in the death of 11 Palestinians and injuries to dozens, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday.

The South Asian country’s foreign office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a statement that such brutal acts are a deliberate violation of international law and relevant UN resolutions.

She said that the government and the people of Pakistan extended their sincere condolences to the relatives of the victims and expressed best wishes for the swift recovery of the wounded people in this cruel raid.

Islamabad reiterates its support to Palestinians

The spokesperson said that using such excessive force by Israeli troops would further worsen the tense situation and weaken the prospect of peace in the region.

She said that Islamabad calls upon the world to make Israel accountable for its grave human rights violations against the people of Palestine and also take necessary actions to stop recurrence of such deliberately illegal acts in future.

The spokesperson further said that they (Islamabad) reiterate their complete support to Palestinians, and call for the establishment of an independent State of Palestine.
