Islamabad, Tehran Vow to Further Expand Ties in Diverse Fields

ISLAMABAD:  Pakistan and Iran have pledged to further strengthen bilateral ties in diverse fields. The commitment was made during telephonic conversation between Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President-elect Dr. Massoud Pezeshkian.

Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Dr. Massoud Pezeshkian on his win in recently held Presidential elections in Iran. Wishing the Iranian President-elect a successful tenure in office, Shehbaz Sharif said he looks forward to working closely with him to further strengthen Pakistan-Iran ties and enhance bilateral cooperation in diverse sectors, including energy, trade, and regional security.

Iranian President-elect Dr. Massoud Pezeshkian thanked the PM for his felicitations, while expressing his desire to further deepen ties between two brotherly countries.  The two sides also discussed regional issues and agreed to continue close coordination and consultation.
