ISLAMABAD: Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, and its surrounding areas are expected to receive more rainfall from Sunday while the weather will remain cold across most parts of the country, according to the Meteorological Department.
Northern areas, including Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, are likely to experience rain and snowfall. Southern parts of Baluchistan may also see some rain, with mountainous areas expecting light snowfall.
Fog is anticipated in the plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Upper Sindh, with a possibility of rain in Islamabad and nearby areas. Murree and Galiat are also poised for rainfall, while mountainous regions are preparing for snowfall. Coastal areas of Makran should brace for rain, as heavy fog is predicted in several cities including Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Jhang.
Foggy conditions are expected in southern areas like Toba Tek Singh, Multan, and Rahim Yar Khan, as well as in Sindh cities such as Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, and Dadu.
Northern regions like Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, and Mansehra should be cautious of fog, along with areas like Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, and Peshawar. Waziristan, Kohat, and Bannu might experience rain, while Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Peshawar, and Lucky Marwat could see some precipitation. Thick fog is expected in Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, and their surroundings.
