Israel Army Says Two Thai Hostages in Gaza Are Dead

TEL AVIV: The Israeli army on Thursday said that two Thai hostages earlier believed to be alive in the Gaza Strip were killed in the October 7 attack and their bodies are being held in the Palestinian enclave.

Army spokesman Daniel Hagari said they have informed the families of two kidnapped Thai citizens, who worked in agriculture near Kibbutz Beeri, that they were killed in the attack on October 7 and their bodies are being held by Palestinian group Hamas.

According to a Western media tally based on Israeli figures, there are now six Thai hostages being held in Gaza.

There are about 30,000 Thai citizens in Israel, and most of them work in the agricultural sector.

According to the health ministry in Gaza Israel’s relentless bombardment has killed at least 35,272 people, also mostly children and women.
