Israel Confirms 18 Soldiers Wounded in Golan Heights

TEL AVIV: Israel’s military has said that 18 of its soldiers were wounded, one of them seriously, when a drone struck their position in the occupied Golan Heights, which border Lebanon.

The Israeli army said in a statement the attack was carried out earlier on Sunday. It stated since then, it had struck Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon with artillery fire and air strikes.

Fighting between Israeli army and Lebanon’s Hezbollah has been escalating, following it was triggered by the war in the Gaza Strip.

According to Arab media, Israeli tanks have advanced on the Gaza City district of Shujayea trapping civilian population amid intense fighting in the region. Arab media reported that exclusive footage obtained by it shows the Israeli army using Palestinian inmates as human shields to search for explosives in the Strip.

Gaza Health Ministry said that around 37,877 people have been killed and more than 86,969 injured in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7.
