ABU DHABI: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and US President Joe Biden have held a telephone call and discussed regional developments and efforts to stop the current situation in light of increasing escalation, Arab media reported on Thursday.
The White House also confirmed that the two leaders held discussion during a phone call.

According to Emirates News Agency, the two leaders emphasized the serious need to prioritize the protection of civilian population and open safe corridors to enable the provision of humanitarian help.
The two sides discussed the significance of coordination among regional and global parties in calling for restraint and urgent de-escalation.
During the talks, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Biden also reviewed the strategic partnership and friendship between the two countries, as well as opportunities to further develop relations in various sectors.
