Israeli Airstrike Kills Senior Iranian Adviser in Syria

DAMASCUS: A senior adviser in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Saeed Ali Dadi, was killed , in an Israeli airstrike in south of Damascus, several Iranian media outlets reported. Ali Dadi played a crucial role as an IRGC adviser, coordinating the military alliance between Syria and Iran within the broader regional network.

According to the Syrian defense ministry, Israel launched missiles from the Golan Heights, targeting areas south of Damascus. Syrian air defenses reportedly intercepted some of the missiles. The incident raises concerns about the leaking of information within the Syrian security forces, prompting the Revolutionary Guard to express its worries to the Syrian regime regarding the role of leaked information in the recent deadly strikes.

Israel has been conducting frequent attacks in Syria, specifically targeting Iranian and Hezbollah forces. Previous strikes have resulted in the deaths of prominent figures, including Razi Musawi in the Sayyida Zainab area and Sadegh Omidzadeh, the IRGC’s intelligence head in Syria, in the Mezzeh Villas area in the west.
