Amid the crisis, Israel announced on Saturday night its decision to cut electricity supply to the besieged territory. Gaza, home to approximately two million people, has been enduring an Israeli blockade encompassing air, land, and sea routes. The drastic reduction in electricity supply, from 120 megawatts to a mere 20MW, has significantly impacted daily life in Gaza, affecting vital services and exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

Healthcare institutions in the region have been forced to rely on spare generators to maintain essential operations throughout the night. With residents enduring darkness amid the sounds of nearby explosions, the situation in Gaza remains dire, with the population grappling with the devastating consequences of the ongoing conflict.
