RAMALLAH, Palestine: Israeli forces stormed Al Jazeera’s West Bank bureau in Ramallah, delivering a military order to close the office for 45 days, as reported by the Qatar-based channel.
Live footage showed Israeli troops entering the office and issuing the closure order before the broadcast was interrupted.
The Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate condemned the action, calling it a violation of journalistic freedom and an attempt to silence media exposing Israeli occupation crimes. This follows a similar raid in May, when Israeli authorities shut down Al Jazeera’s Jerusalem office, citing national security concerns.
