Israeli Forces Continue Systematic Oppression Against Palestinians in Gaza: OIC

JEDDAH: The OIC Observatory for Israel’s Crimes against Palestinians weekly report said that The Israeli occupation forces continue systematic oppression and violence against Palestinians in Gaza, with recent incidents highlighting the severity of the situation.

The OIC Report said that on March 13, 2024, a deliberate bombing targeted the largest UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warehouse in Rafah, resulting in the deaths of 5 Palestinians.

The OIC Observatory weekly report said that between March 12-18, 2024, at least 614 Palestinians were martyred and 1,049 wounded in Israel attacks. Out of it, 100 were killed and 200 wounded in a second massacre at the Kuwait Roundabout on March 14, 2024, and further casualties occurred in the Shifa Hospital massacre on March 18, 2024.

The report further reported that the death toll of Israeli aggression over 165 days in Gaza stands at approximately 32,161 martyrs, with two million displaced and 63,000 housing units damaged in Rafah and nearby areas.

In the West Bank, 10 fatalities were reported alongside 126 arrests by Israeli forces. Settler attacks on Palestinian villages numbered 34, with incidents in Hebron, Nablus, Ramallah, Salfit, Jenin, Tulkarm, and Jerusalem.

Demolitions included a restaurant in Jericho and 4 barracks in Jenin, while property destruction occurred in Nablus, Hebron, and Jerusalem. Settlement activities expanded with road construction and fencing in Salfit and Nablus.

The OIC report stated that the Al-Aqsa Mosque faced restrictions during Ramadan, particularly on the first Friday, with Israeli forces obstructing prayers and medical access. Moreover, 40 settlers stormed and vandalized Bab al-Rahma cemetery near Al-Aqsa, damaging tombstones and restoration materials.
