GAZA: Israeli forces continued their relentless attacks against Palestinians killing more than 52 others including women and children in the past 24 hours in the Gaza Strip, reported by the territory’s Health Ministry on Saturday.
Moreover, more than 95 others were injured in the ongoing assaults on the besieged Gaza Strip.
According to a statement from the ministry, “The Israeli occupation (forces) committed five massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, leaving 52 dead and 95 injured during the past 24 hours.”
Tragically, many people remain trapped under rubble and stranded on roads, with rescuers facing challenges in reaching them.
Despite a provisional ruling from the International Court of Justice, Israel persists in its offensive against the Gaza Strip, where Palestinian health authorities claim that since October 7, at least 33,686 Palestinians have lost their lives, with a majority being women and children, and 76,309 have been injured.
The Israeli war has resulted in a dire situation for Gaza’s population, with 85% forced into internal displacement, and acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine. Furthermore, UN reports said that 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.
Amid mounting accusations of genocide, the International Court of Justice issued an interim ruling in January, urging Israel to cease genocidal acts and ensure the provision of humanitarian assistance to Gaza civilians. Despite this, hostilities persist, and humanitarian aid remains insufficient to address the humanitarian catastrophe.
