Reports said that following Chauhan, Zulfi Bukhari and Sheikh Rashid also reached Committee Chowk for arrest. However, only Bukhari was arrested by the police.

Police sources said that as many as 80 people were arrested in the jail-filling campaign.

The movement of PTI started on Wednesday from Lahore where key leaders from Punjab, including Asad Umar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Azam Khan Swati, and Omar Sarfaraz Cheema gave court arrests.

Earlier, chairman PTI and former Prime Minister Imran Khan had said they launched the drive of “Jail Bharo Tehreek” to achieve ‘Haqeeqi Azadi’.

However, the government rejected his claim and said that PTI’s leader Imran Khan “Jail Bharo Tehreek” did not convince the people to come on road.
