Japan Airlines Airplane in Flames on Runway of Tokyo’s Haneda Airport

HANEDA, Japan: A large airliner, carrying over 300 passengers, erupted in flames at Haneda Airport in Tokyo as it collided with a coast guard airplane.

The tragic event unfolded just a day after Japan’s west coast was rocked by a devastating 7.6 magnitude earthquake.

Shocking footage captured the Japan Airlines jet consumed by a raging inferno while stationary on the runway in Ota City. Flames engulfed the aircraft, billowing from passenger windows and painting a grim picture of the unfolding disaster.
