Japan, Central Asia Vow to Extend Economic Cooperation

TOKYO: The 2nd Japan-Central Asia Business Dialogue was held and organized by the Japan Association for Trade with Russia & NIS (ROTOBO), the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan said.

This gathering marked an important step in enhancing economic relations between Japan and the Central Asian region. High-level representatives from Japan’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economy, Trade and Industry, alongside business leaders, highlighted the burgeoning interest of Japanese enterprises in Central Asia. The dialogue provided a platform to explore mutual trade opportunities and economic cooperation initiatives.

In his address, the Tajikistan Ambassador to Japan emphasized the vast potential for trade and economic collaboration, highlighting Tajikistan’s abundant natural resources and its skilled workforce.

A pivotal outcome of the event was the signing of a Joint Statement by the Ambassadors of Central Asian countries and ROTOBO, outlining strategic goals and cooperation frameworks for future engagements.
