TOKYO: Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will visit Kazakhstan in August this year, Nippon reports.

The Prime Minister will take part in his first summit with the leaders of five Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said on Wednesday.

“Cooperation with Central Asian countries is more important than ever to maintain and strengthen a free and open international order based on the rule of law,” Nippon quotes Hayashi as saying.
