LONDON: Amid rumours of marital discord and awaiting divorce from actor Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez is reportedly ready to expose what insiders describe as Affleck’s “dark side,” challenging media portrayals that have cast her in a negative light.
According to an insider speaking to In Touch Weekly, sources close to Lopez have expressed frustration over what they perceive as unfair blame directed at the superstar amid issues in her relationship with Affleck. The source said that Lopez’s inner circle believes she is unfairly depicted as the instigator of problems in their marriage, while Affleck’s alleged “anger issues” and “commitment issues” have been downplayed.
The report highlighted instances where Affleck’s demeanour, described as “grumpy” and indicative of “lack of effort,” was evident even during public appearances such as the Grammys in 2023, fueling speculations about strain in their relationship.
“Everyone in J.Lo’s circle feels it’s pretty unfair that she’s the one getting all the blame in this,” the insider shared with In Touch Weekly. “You just have to look at the way Ben’s been behaving to see the sort of anger issues he is got.”
The source continued to assert that Lopez, while initially wanting the marriage to succeed, has come to realize that she was the one primarily responsible for maintaining the relationship. They described her efforts to constantly uplift Affleck’s mood and ensure everything was perfect for him, suggesting a disproportionate burden in the partnership.
