Joint Flag March Conducted by Islamabad Capital Police for Election Security

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Police (ICP) and various law enforcement agencies collaborated on Tuesday to conduct a joint flag march in Islamabad, aimed at ensuring peace and orderliness during the upcoming general election of 2024. Commencing from three different points within the city, the flag march traversed through different areas before converging at a central location. Islamabad police has taken comprehensive security measures with the aim of emphasizing the commitment to uphold peace.

Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, has asked citizens to cooperate with law enforcement, remain vigilant, and report any suspicious activities via designated channels like “Pucar-15” or “ICT-15”. Enhanced security measures include intensified monitoring at entry and exit points, patrols by the Dolphin squad, and directives for senior police officials to remain vigilant in their respective areas. Additionally, crackdowns on traffic violations such as one-wheeling, tinted glasses, and unauthorized motorcycle riding are underway.
