ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah stated on Thursday that Justice Mansoor Ali Shah will not be appointed as the head of the constitutional bench.
In an interview with Independent Urdu, the former federal minister suggested that either Justice Aminuddin Khan or Justice Jamal Mandokhel could lead the bench.
He emphasized that neither the government nor anyone else is obstructing Justice Mansoor Ali Shah’s path, adding, “No one has a greater role than the PTI.”
Sanaullah remarked that the PTI claimed to have spoken with Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, asserting that he would address their concerns once he assumes office in October.
He expressed concern about political parties making such statements, saying it could be damaging to the political landscape.
Moreover, Rana Sanaullah noted that he does not support politicizing cases involving women, stating, “Bushra Bibi and the sisters of the PTI founder should not have been implicated in such cases.”
