Kashmir Black Day Rally in Nowshera Denounces Indian Occupation of IIOJK

PESHAWAR: A protest rally took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Nowshera district on Friday, observing October 27 as a ‘Black Day’ to commemorate the day when Indian forces illegally entered Srinagar in 1947.

The day marked the beginning of a chapter of occupation, subjugation, oppression, and state terrorism for the innocent people of Kashmir.

The rally witnessed the participation of individuals from various walks of life, including Assistant Commissioner Nowshera, Tanveer Iqbal, police officers, President of the Central Traders Association, Sher Zameen Shah, representatives of traders, and students.

Black Day Rally Urges UN to Act on Kashmir Resolutions

During the rally, the attendees vehemently condemned the unlawful annexation of the Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) by India on October 27, 1947. Holding placards and banners, they expressed their strong opposition to state terrorism, human rights violations, and oppression in IIOJK, while showing unwavering solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris in the valley.

The protest rally further decried the illegal revocation of the special status of IIOJK by the Modi government on August 5, 2019, and the continued human rights violations in the occupied territory.

Participants urged the United Nations Security Council to uphold its resolutions on Kashmir and exert pressure on the Indian government to honor the promised right of self-determination for Kashmiris.

The rally concluded with fervent slogans against India and resounding support for the people of Kashmir.
