SRINAGAR, Occupied Kashmir: The All-Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has emphasized that Kashmir remains an unresolved issue before the United Nations for over seven decades, marking it as one of the oldest disputes that has resulted in significant human loss.
As per a statement from a Kashmir Media Service report, the APHC spokesperson, speaking from Srinagar, strongly criticized the Hindutva-led Bharatiya Janata Party government under Narendra Modi for escalating state terrorism in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a region contested since India’s military invasion in 1947.
The spokesperson condemned the severe mistreatment endured by the freedom-seeking people of Kashmir at the hands of Indian forces across the occupied area. Highlighting India’s persistent reluctance as the primary obstacle to resolving the enduring conflict, the APHC reiterated the unwavering determination of Kashmiris to pursue their quest for freedom despite the oppressive tactics employed by the Indian government.
Urging the international community’s intervention, the spokesperson called upon nations to exert pressure on India, aligning with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the pertinent UN resolutions for a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
