SRINAGAR: Leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter have strongly condemned the actions of the RSS-backed Indian government, especially its systematic campaign to obliterate the identity of Kashmiri Muslims and enforce Hindutva ideology in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The APHC leaders including Muhammad Sultan Butt, Syed Faiz Naqashbandi, Zahid Safi, and Zahid Ashraf in a joint statement emphasized the urgent need for resistance against the agenda of the forces of Hindutva. They added that the RSS’s manifesto wants to undermine the unique cultural identity of Kashmiris and convert the Muslim majority of the territory into a minority.
The leaders denounced declarations by Hindutva leaders to erase Kashmir’s distinct identity and integrate it into a Hindu Rashtra. They noted the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35-A as the initial steps towards a broader agenda of settler colonialism and cultural erasure in IIOJK.

“The Modi regime is systematically laying the groundwork for settler colonialism in IIOJK,” they asserted.
The APHC-AJK leaders called for unity among all segments of society against this existential threat, emphasizing that Kashmiris are determined to protect their identity at any cost. They said that despite 77 years of military oppression of India, the resolve of the Kashmiri people is unshakable.
“Kashmiris would rather face death than submit to the forces of Hindu extremism,” they declared.
They vowed to continue resisting against cultural invasion and hegemony of India until the last drop of blood and asked the global community to intervene in order to protect the identity and land of the people of Kashmir.
