SRINAGAR: A complete strike is being observed on Friday in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on Indian Republic Day, January 26, western media reported.
According to local media, security measures in the occupied territory included extensive checking, frisking, and patrolling by Indian forces to prevent anti-India demonstrations.
A huge deployment of Indian forces was evident around the venues of various events across the valley. In the city and other district headquarters, police and paramilitary personnel were stationed on the occasion of the Indian Republican day while the people of Kashmir are observing the day as Black Day today.

Checkpoints were established at different locations in Srinagar, particularly at the entry points of the city and other districts. Random vehicle checks and frisking of individuals were conducted by Indian forces. Additionally, sharpshooters from the police and the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force personnel occupied elevated structures around the main venues. —APP
