ISLAMABAD: On the occasion of “Kashmir Solidarity Day,” Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick stated that Kashmiris will not submit to Indian oppression and that their unwavering desire for freedom was growing stronger each day.

Mullick underscored the significance of February 5 as a day to express solidarity with Kashmiris and urged the international community to exert pressure on India for a resolution to the conflict. She stated that India, despite employing brutal tactics, has failed to subdue the Kashmiri spirit, and their passion for freedom continues to gain momentum.

Emphasizing the unity of Pakistan’s political, religious, and military leadership on the Kashmir issue, Mullick noted the strong bond between the people of Kashmir and Pakistan.

Responding to a question about the upcoming regime in Pakistan, Mullick stated that addressing the Kashmir issue would be a significant challenge for the new government, urging them to take immediate action.

She highlighted the efforts of the caretaker government, including special Kashmir committees, in devising long-term strategies to intensify the Kashmir cause and called on the next government to prioritize the freedom movement.

Mullick further urged the United Nations Organization and other human rights advocates to take concrete steps for resolving the longstanding Kashmir issue.

She pointed out the ongoing serious violations of human rights in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJ&K) due to regular military attacks by Indian forces, emphasizing the urgent need for international intervention. —APP
