ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday to attend the twenty-third meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (CHG) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Minister for Investment, Privatization and Communications Abdul Aleem Khan received the visiting dignitary at Islamabad International Airport.

Children dressed in traditional costumes presented bouquets of flowers to the foreign guests.

A red carpet was rolled out to welcome the dignitaries, underscoring the significance of the event and the cordial ties between the two nations.

It is pertinent to mention that delegates from participating countries had already started arriving in Islamabad, which has received a facelift with colourful lights, floral decorations, and flags and banners from SCO member states to welcome the foreign dignitaries.
