KHAIRPUR: Dr. Samiullah Soomro, presiding over a meeting in Khairpur, issued directives to police officers emphasizing the need for robust security at all polling stations during elections.
Dr. Soomro, during the session, chaired a comprehensive review of security arrangements, underscoring the crucial role of Station House Officers (SHOs) in ensuring tight security within their respective jurisdictions.
Highlighting the significance of a meticulous security plan, Dr. Soomro mandated SHOs to implement stringent security measures, aiming to counteract any potential threats during the election process.
He stressed the importance of a comprehensive security plan that addresses all possible angles, aiming to thwart any malicious intentions of miscreants before they could lead to untoward incidents.
In a bid to enhance security at sensitive and highly sensitive polling stations, Dr. Soomro directed Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) to conduct thorough visits. The DSPs were tasked with overseeing the installation of security-enhancing technologies, such as CCTV cameras and other gadgets, at these identified polling stations.
