LAHORE: Famous drama writer and director Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has announced to cast actress Mahira Khan in his new film. In a podcast, Khalil-ur-Rahman Qamar revealed that actress Mahira Khan will play the lead role along with Humayun Saeed in his new film ‘Mirza Jatt’. The development surprised the fans and viewers who are witness to a harsh remarks Mahira Khan had given about Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar following a fight with Marvi Sarmed on a live TV show.
While talking about the actress, Khalil-ur-Rahman Qamar said that they will work together despite their differences.
Mahira Khan wrote in her X account formerly known as tweeter that she was shocked by the words spoken by a person who mocks women on TV screen to Marvi Sarmad. Using the hashtag of the playwright’s name, the actress wrote that he is the same person, who is given one project after mocking women.
Later on, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar expressed regret over Mahira Khan’s remarks against him and said in an interview that Mahira Khan’s tweet against him was ‘inappropriate and shocking’.
Khalil-ur-Rahman Qamar termed working with Mahira Khan as the biggest mistake of his life. He had demanded an apology from Mahira Khan in various interviews. Qamar said that he will never work with Mahira Khan unless she expresses regret.
