PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Sunday adopted a unanimous resolution at its session to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren on the occasion of Kashmir Black Day.
The joint resolution, presented in the assembly by Law Minister Aftab Alam, demanded the United Nations take notice of the grave human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) by the Indian military.
The resolution demanded restoring the special status of the Kashmir state and granting the right to self-determination to the Kashmiri people.
The resolution also urged the international community to play a role in the settlement of the Kashmir dispute according to the UN Security Council’s resolutions.
