King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing Quran from August 25

RIYADH: Under the auspices of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the 43rd edition of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Quran, being arranged by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, will take place from 25 August to 6 September at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs and General Supervisor of the competition, thanked King Salman for his steadfast support for this competition, which is a reflection of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to care for and preserve the Holy Quran, according to Saudi media.

Prizes in Competition

The minister said that the total value of prizes in the competition amounts to 4 million Saudi Riyals.

He added that the competition committees have completed all preparations to receive 166 contestants from 117 nations who will be provided with the best services during their participation in the competition.
