King Salman Sends Verbal Message to Mauritius PM on Bilateral Ties

RIYADH: King Salman of Saudi Arabia has sent a verbal message to prime minister of Mauritius, relating to bilateral ties and ways to further boost cooperation between the two nations, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

Saudi Royal Court advisor Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan, representing Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques conveyed the message to the Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth in Mauritius capital, Port Louis.

During the meeting, Kattan extended on the best wishes of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the Mauritius PM, his government, and the people of the East African country.

Mauritius supports Saudi bid to host Expo 2030

Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius reciprocating the same feelings for Saudi King and his nation said Mauritius supports Saudi Arabia’s bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh.

He thanked Saudi Arabia for hosting the first Saudi African and fifth Arab African summits to be held in Riyadh this year.

Both sides also discussed ways to develop bilateral relations in various fields. During the meeting they talked about regional and international events of mutual concern.

Meanwhile, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Mauritius, Alan Ganoo during his visit to Port Louis.

Kattan said he valued the Foreign Minister of Mauritius’s affirmation that his government supports the Kingdom’s bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh.  During the meeting, they reviewed ties between the two countries.
