UN and Korea: 1.5 million USD Announced to Help Afghan Refugees in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Republic of Korea has given the US $1.5 million in humanitarian help to the three United Nations organizations for the year 2023 to ease the suffering of the Afghan Refugees in Pakistan.

UN Agencies: Korea has provided 1.5 million USD to the UN for assisting Afghan Refugees in Pakistan

A ceremony was held in this connection at the Embassy of Korea in Islamabad. On the occasion, the Korean Ambassador Suh Sangpyo inked Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the representatives of the UN agencies. Each of the UN organizations received half a million USD aimed at providing lifesaving food support and continued healthcare to refugees.
