ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Islamabad recently hosted a vibrant celebration for the National Foundation Day and the 76th Armed Forces Day of Korea at the ambassador’s residence.
This significant event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Honourable Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Mr. Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Other prominent attendees included the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, the Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Mr. Attaullah Tarar, and several other notable members of the National Assembly and Senate.
During his speech, the Korean Ambassador emphasized the importance of collaboration between Korea and Pakistan, highlighting Korea’s technological advancements and experience as crucial assets in enhancing bilateral ties. He stressed that achieving deeper friendship between the two nations requires the support of the Pakistani government.

The ambassador also announced exciting upcoming events as part of the 2024 K-Week in Islamabad, which aims to further cultural exchange. This includes the Korea-Pakistan Cultural Gala on October 23, 2024, and a Korea-Pakistan Movie Day the following day. Additionally, the 17th Korean Ambassador Senior National Cadet Taekwondo Championship is set to take place on October 25, 2024.
Looking ahead, the ambassador expressed optimism about the future of bilateral relations, emphasizing the potential for cooperation in various sectors, including culture, art, literature, and music. This celebration not only commemorated important national milestones but also underscored the shared aspirations of Korea and Pakistan for a fruitful partnership.
