KP Cabinet Greenlights Funding for Establishment of Forensic Lab

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet on Wednesday approved a supplementary grant to facilitate the establishment of a Forensic Science Laboratory in Peshawar.

The KP caretaker cabinet approved the grant in its ninth meeting held on Wednesday.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa interim Chief Minister, Azam Khan, presided over the cabinet meeting, which was attended by ministers, advisers, special assistants and other prominent officials.

The meeting’s agenda comprised seven key points. Among the decisions made, the cabinet approved the revision of PC One for the Janikhel Bannu Police Station.

The caretaker government also approved the Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court’s recommendation to appoint Senior Judge Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim Khan as an administrative judge for anti-terrorism tribunals.

The cabinet formed a subcommittee under the supervision of the Senior Member of the Board of Revenue to discuss issues relating to the Service Rules 2023 for workers of the Provincial Ombudsman Office.

KP Cabinet Calls for Kohat’s Teaching Hospital PC One Review

In addition, the cabinet instructed the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) to receive PC One for the proposed Women and Children Liaquat Memorial Teaching Hospital in the Kohat area.

The cabinet approved sending PC-I to the PDWP for additional review in relation to the National Program for Improvement of Water Courses in Pakistan Phase II-KPC.

In addition to approving committee recommendations for a case involving instructors at police public schools, the caretaker government also established a committee under the leadership of caretaker minister Syed Masood Shah to ensure that the recommendations were carried out in accordance with Supreme Court directives.
