ISLAMABAD: Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday called on President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad.
The president congratulated the governor on assuming the office, according to a statement issued by the President House.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi thanked the president for reposing trust in him and appointing him as the Governor KP.
President Zardari instructed him to work in people’s interest and expressed good wishes for him, the statement added.
Faisal Karim Kundi assumed charge as KP Governor on May 4. The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) stalwart also served as Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly from 2008 to 2013. He was also an Adviser to the Prime Minister in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government.
