WINSTON SALEM: From Thursday, Aug. 29, through Monday, Sept. 2, customers can get a dozen glazed doughnuts for just $2 as Krispy Kreme is bringing some sweet deals for Labor Day. To enjoy this offer, one need to purchase any dozen at the regular price, and then can get the second dozen for only $2. According to the company’s press release, the deal is limited to two dozen per in-store or drive-thru purchase, and one dozen via the app.
Earlier this month, Krispy Kreme teamed up with Dr. Pepper to launch the Krispy Kreme x Dr Pepper Kickoff Collection, a football-themed menu featuring three new treats. Dr. Pepper Kickoff Doughnut is a classic glazed doughnut topped with Dr Pepper-flavored frosting, burgundy sprinkles, and a white chocolate Dr Pepper logo.
The Buttercreme Goals Doughnut has a glazed doughnut base, dipped in green icing, covered in rainbow sprinkles, and topped with a yellow buttercreme-flavored goal post. The Kreme-Filled Football Doughnut, decorated like a football, is filled with white cream and dipped in chocolate icing.
This sporty collection is available for in-shop purchase, pick-up, and delivery, and customers can also find a half-dozen box at select retailers.
Krispy Kreme has had a celebration-filled summer. In July, the chain marked 87 years of business. On July 12, customers could buy a dozen glazed doughnuts for just 87 cents to honor the company’s founding in 1937 when Vernon Rudolph first started selling doughnuts in grocery stores.
