RIYADH: Pilgrims from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabi (KSA) and around the world can now get permits to perform Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan through the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s Nusuk app.

New offer for pilgrims during Ramadan

The Saudi Ministry said that the platform helps local and global pilgrims to find available Umrah dates during Ramadan. This app can be downloaded from Google Play and Apple Store. To be eligible for a permit, pilgrims coming from different nations must be in possession of a valid visa, the ministry said. It said that citizens of KSA can also get permits through the Tawakkalna application, provided that they do not have Covid-19.

The ministry asked all who wish to perform Umrah during Ramadan to make sure they get the required permit and stick to the stated date, to help avoid overcrowding. Pilgrims will be allowed to perform the Umrah once during the holy month of Ramadan. Officials said the rules and regulations are designed to help ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims and permit as many Muslims as possible to perform Umrah. Ramadan is likely to start on or around March 23.
