RIYADH: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) concern over the continued fighting in Sudan and the escalation of violence against civilians, including children and women, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The SPA reported that in this context, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia denounces the recent events in the eastern part of Al-Jazirah State, which resulted in civilian causalities and injuries, constituting a violation of global law and the principle of civilian protection.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) calls for the resolve and fulfillment of what was agreed upon in the Jeddah Declaration inked on May 11, 2023, and urges the warring parties to ceasefire, end the conflict, as well as facilitate the delivery of humanitarian help to those affected, the SPA added. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabi (KSA) renews its firm stance in supporting Sudan’s stability and preserving the unity of its legitimate institutions, sovereignty, and independence, stressing that a political solution is the only path to end the crisis in Sudan, the SPA further reported.
