KSA to Host MENA Climate Week in October

RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Ministry of Energy has announced that the Kingdom will host the MENA Climate Week 2023 in Riyadh in October.

The event will be organized in collaboration with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC), Arab media reported.

KSA to Host MENA Climate Week in October

The mega event of climate change will take place from 8th to 12th October, with the attendance of many officials, ministers, and media figures. According to officials, the theme of the MENA Week’s events will be “Global Stocktake” to evaluate the growth made toward realizing the climate change purposes outlined in the Paris Agreement.

Moreover, the Ministry of Energy also noted that hosting MENA Climate Week 2023, ahead of COP28 in the UAE by the end of the current year, will provide an opportunity to highlight the efforts and approach of the region to climate action and shed light on the influences of the challenge of climate change at the domestic and regional levels.

The Climate Week will also include several significant and relevant regional and global events, exhibitions, meetings, and cultural activities. The Ministry of Energy also announced that registration for organizing MENA Week’s event is now open.
