KSAA Launches Training Project for Non-native Arabic Teachers

RIYADH: The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic has initiated the 2nd phase of a project to provide training to non-native Arabic language teachers, Arab media reported on Thursday.

The Saudi Press Agency said that the aim of the project is to develop and enhance the skills of non-native Arabic teachers to enable them to teach Arabic as per the scientific standards.

It added that the training will be implemented in coordination with specialized institutes and universities and is also meant to enhance and promote the Arabic language worldwide via courses delivered by experts.

The first Arabic course of the 2nd phase was started in Almaty in cooperation with the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of IR and world languages.

The project’s 2nd phase includes eighteen courses inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and thirty-nine courses that will be held abroad.

The 2nd phase builds upon the success of the 1st, during which 5 training courses were held in the KSA, with ninety-six participants. Outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, thirty courses were held in twenty-six countries, with 809 participants.
