KSA’s Rescue Teams Complete Operations in Turkey

RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s search and rescue teams have completed their rescue operations in quake-hit Turkey and returned to Riyadh on Thursday, Arab media reported.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, KSA’s teams had conducted search and rescue operations in 47 areas, including Antakya, Gaziantep, and Kahramanmaras. They utilized cutting-edge modern technology and equipment and rescued the people.

KSA’s Rescue Teams reach Riyadh

Search, and rescue teams of Saudi Civil Defense also met with global search and rescue teams in the quake-affected areas of Turkey.  According to media reports, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center will help and assist people of Turkey and Syria.

Media reports and officials said that more than 43,556 killed in the recent earthquake in Turkey. Turkish minister for interior Suleyman Soylu also confirmed the number of deaths in the massive quake in Turkey.

He told TRT that 7,930 aftershocks were reported after the first quake on February 6 while over 600,000 apartments and over 150,000 commercial premises had damaged in the quake in the country.
