RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) continues its humanitarian work by distributing relief aid across Lebanon, Yemen, Chad and Sudan, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
The center implemented the Al-Amal Charitable Bakery Project in Northern Lebanon from September 12 and 18 during which some 25,000 bags of bread were distributed to needy Syrians, Palestinians and the host community, benefiting 12,500 families.
The project is part of of Saudi Arabia’s efforts, through KSrelief, to help refugees wherever they are displaced.
The KSrelief has also distributed 345 food baskets in the Al-Ma’afer district of the Yemeni Taiz Governorate. The aid benefited 2,415 individuals from 345 families among the most vulnerable groups affected by floods and rainfall. This aid comes as part of the 2024 food aid distribution project for affected populations in Yemen.
This project is part of a series of relief and humanitarian projects provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, aimed at alleviating the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis and achieving food security.
In Chad the KSrelief distributed 3,299 food baskets benefiting 19,794 individuals from the most needy families as part of the country’s 2024 Food Security Support Project.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) also distributed 600 shelter bags in Merowe locality, Northern State, Sudan. The aid benefited 3,056 individuals from the most vulnerable families affected by floods and heavy rains as part of the 2024 emergency shelter assistance project for Sudan.
This aid is part of a series of relief and humanitarian projects implemented by Saudi Arabia to assist the brotherly Sudanese people amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
