AL-MAHRAH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has implemented the fifth phase of the program to Empower Orphaned Families in Yemen’s Al-Mahrah Governorate, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.

The objective of the program is to cover the educational, health, and living expenses of 150 orphans with an average of 50 families in Al-Mahrah Governorate for whole year.

The initiative would help the orphans segment in Yemen by economically empowering 440 families. It would create sustainable job opportunities for orphans to provide income and cover their living, educational and health requirements.

It enables them to increase their capabilities to deal with the economic consequences resulting from the loss of the primary income earners. It enrolls 1,300 orphans in the educational process, and distributed school bags to them.

The aim is to enable 440 families to achieve self-sufficiency and help facilitate school attendance for 1,300 orphans.

This program underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting orphans and improving their living standards.
