KSrelief Launches Project to Support Orphans in Yemen’s Taiz

TAIZ: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched the second phase of the project to support orphans and their families in Yemen’s Taiz Governorate, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

According to the SPA, under the project school bags, educational equipment, living, and health sponsorships will be given to the Yemeni orphans.

Taiz Deputy Governor Dr. Abdulqawi Al-Mekhlafi praised the humanitarian efforts of the KSrelief. He expected the project would help to improve the living conditions of orphans, motivate their educational endeavors, and prepare them for the workforce.

He lauded Saudi Arabia for its humanitarian and developmental projects, with a special focus on strategic projects that benefit all residents of the Yemeni governorate.

The project aims to economically empower 440 provider families and support orphans in Yemen.

Under the initiative sustainable job opportunities are created to ensure income security, and sponsorships for education, health and livelihood. The project helps 1,300 orphans enroll in education.

The project comes within the framework of the humanitarian efforts led by the Kingdom through KSrelief, focusing on orphans in Yemen.
