KSrelief Launches Third Volunteer Medical Project in Yemen

HADHRAMAUT: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated its third volunteer medical campaign for plastic surgery, deformities and burns at Seiyun General Hospital Authority in Yemen’s Hadhramaut region, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

The project, that runs from December 17 to 23, involves 16 volunteers from various hospitals. Under the initiative, the medical team already has performed 68 complicated surgeries.

In addition, the volunteer medical team examined 185 patients at the dermatology clinic and 196 individuals at the surgery and plastic-surgery clinic. Furthermore, 14 individuals were also got training in dermatology.

Undersecretary of Hadramout Governorate Salem bin Sharman praised the assistance provided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He lauded the humanitarian efforts made by KSrelief and the medical staff in providing the necessary medical diagnostics and therapeutic services.

Bin Sharman also praised the medical staff for conducting surgeries to end the suffering of burn patients who experience complications and deformities.

The project is part of the comprehensive health projects launched by Saudi Arabia through KSrelief, to enhance the Yemeni health sector and healthcare services.
