ISLAMABAD: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), a renowned Saudi relief organization committed to providing vital humanitarian assistance globally, has launched a significant winter relief project in flood-affected regions of Pakistan.
This initiative is a response to the urgent needs of communities devastated by floods caused by unusually heavy monsoon rains, aiming to bring warmth and relief to those residing in the coldest regions of the country.
KSrelief’s winter relief project is set to cover 12 districts in Pakistan, focusing particularly on areas where communities are most vulnerable. These districts include Upper Chitral, Lower Chitral, Upper Dir, Upper Swat, and Upper Kohistan in the KP province; Kalat, Sohrab, Killa Saifullah, and Ziarat in Baluchistan; and Astor, Ghizer, and Gupis Yasin in Gilgit Baltistan.
KSrelief’s Winter Relief Initiative in Pakistan
The comprehensive winter relief package includes 50,000 high-quality Polyester Quilts and 25,000 winter kits. These kits consist of warm shawls for both men and women, along with cozy clothing for children and adults. The distribution of these essential supplies will be conducted transparently and efficiently, in collaboration with the provincial government, ensuring that more than 175,000 people across the 12 districts benefit from this initiative.
By extending a helping hand to vulnerable communities in Pakistan, KSrelief aims to make a significant impact on the lives of those grappling with the aftermath of natural disasters. This project reaffirms the organization’s dedication to humanitarian causes and its mission to provide essential aid to people in need, even in the face of the most challenging circumstances.
