RIYADH: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has signed an agreement with the ‘Patients Helping Fund’ Organization in Sudan to send medical equipment to children’s hospitals in Sudan, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General of Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed Al Baiz and Patients Helping Fund General Director Kamal Yaqoub Mohamed signed the cooperation agreement at KSrelief headquarters in Riyadh.
The arrangement aims to reduce mortality rates in Sudanese hospitals by addressing the significant shortage of medical equipment.
The new equipment will directly benefit 100,000 individuals and another 100,000 indirect beneficiaries in in the Kassala and El-Obeid hospitals.
The agreement is part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts, led by KSrelief, to improve the Sudanese health sector and enhance healthcare services.
